How to use SpinDuty
SpinDuty turns any list of names into a fair, random draw in seconds. Here's everything you can do — from your first spin to the small options that make it fit the way you work.
1. Add your names
Type a name into the input box and press Add (or hit Enter). Each name becomes a colored segment on the wheel. Keep going until everyone who should be in the draw is on the list — there's no practical limit, and the wheel automatically re-balances its colors so every segment stays easy to tell apart.
Made a typo or need to drop someone? Tap the × next to any name to remove it, or use Clear to start fresh. Duplicate names are allowed and shown in italics, so you can add the same person twice to give them heavier odds if you want to.
2. Spin the wheel
Tap the center of the wheel (or the big spin button) and it accelerates into several full turns before easing to a smooth stop. The pointer at the top marks the winning segment. Every spin is genuinely random — the result is chosen first, then the wheel animates to land on it, so there's no way to nudge the outcome.
3. Read and share the result
When the wheel stops, the winner pops up in a celebration card with a burst of confetti. Read it out, then choose Spin again to run another draw or close the card to go back to your list. Because the winner is shown big and centered, it works great on a projector or a screen share.
4. Use the options
Remove winner after spin takes the chosen name off the wheel automatically — perfect for assigning several tasks in a row, or drawing raffle winners without repeats. Turn it off when the same pool should stay in play every time.
Spin sound adds a subtle tick as the wheel turns. It's off by default, so flip it on when you want a bit more drama for a classroom or a stream.
Your list is saved automatically
SpinDuty remembers your names in your browser, so if you refresh or come back later, your wheel is still there. Nothing is uploaded — the list lives only on the device you're using. Read more on our privacy page.
Only need a yes or no?
If your decision is a simple two-way call, the Yes or No Wheel is a purpose-built version with just those two options. For real people and tasks, head back to the main name picker.
